There’s something quietly ambitious about an artist who releases their debut album and immediately heads to Canada to work on what comes next. That’s exactly what Nigerian producer and Afrobeats artist Kwosa Mayor is doing right now, and it says a lot about where he’s headed. Kwosa Mayor dropped his first full-length project, “Divergent,” back in October 2025. It’s a 9-track, 33-minute statement that pulls from Amapiano, Afrofusion, and Afrobeats without getting stuck in any one lane.
